Getting There

By air: Vilnius’ airport is around 5km south of the city centre. There are regular flights between this airport and its neighbouring cities, Rîga and Tallinn.

The easiest way to get to the city from the airport is via taxi as they are quite cheap and will bring you exactly where you want to go. Buses do operate between the airport and the town although they don’t go to the exact centre.

By train: Vilnius’ main train station is located at 16 Geleþinkelio. Only Rîga and a selection of other cities from the Baltic towns/cities are connected to Lithuania’s capital city via rail. Tallinn isn’t.

By bus: If you travel to Vilnius by bus you should arrive at the bus station which is located just beside the train station. There are connections with Vilnius and all other Eastern European countries.

Getting Around

By bus: Regular buses, trolley buses and minibuses all operate in Vilnius. They begin service at 6am approximately and continue until around midnight.

By taxi: Considering they are relatively cheap, taxis are arguably the easiest way to get around the city.
